Labor force

Nevada is a right-to-work state, which prevents labor organizations from establishing "close-shop" policies that preclude hiring non-union personnel. Northern Nevada has several outreach programs that work directly with Nevada companies to develop programs, train employees, and assist in recruiting employees.

Nevada offers a number of customized job training programs to qualified businesses that meet established criteria. These programs may be used prior to a plant opening and up to 90 days following.
